IEM Engineering Week 2018

IEM-SAFE UNIMAS Student Section 2018/2019 has conducted the organisation's annual event, Engineering Week 2018 (E-Week). A list of activities was carried out to spark interest and unleash potential among UNIMAS students especially those from the Faculty of Engineering itself.
Started off in the mid of October 2018, Campus Fun Run 2018 was in the top lineup of E-Week 2018. Joined by an astounding amount of 600 participants, the colourful 5KM run was routed around the university. The run was officiated by IEM-SAFE UNIMAS Student Section Advisor, Mr. Mohd Azrin bin Mohd Said and the event director, Siti Husmiyatie binti Akbar Jahan.
E-Week was then officially inaugurated during its Opening Ceremony on the 16th October at 2018 at Student Pavilion, Multipurpose Hall. Officiated by YBhg Prof Datu Mohd Fadzil Abdul Rahman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Prof. Madya Ir Dr Siti Noor Linda Bt. Taib, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Nazeri Abdul Rahman, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Engineering (Student Affairs & Alumni) and Mr Mohd Azrin bin Mohd Said, Advisor of IEM-SAFE UNIMAS Student Section, the opening ceremony was joined by primary schoolers from IEM-SAFE UNIMAS Student Section's adopting school, SK Semerah Padi and students from the Faculty of Engineering.
The following events of E-Week 2018 consisted of FK Tour and Career Talk, Photoshop Editing and Web Design Workshop, FK Tour and Career Talk, IEM Carwash, Kampong Life 2.0, A Day with IEM, IEM Engineering Circle, Blood Donation and Sports Day.
The event was successfully completed with the help of 88 committee members, ranging from 1st year - 3rd year students of Faculty of Engineering. Overall, the responses for all of the activities held were very positive and convincing.
